Day 1 - 2 : Surabaya - Probolinggo

(p/s : caption above pictures)

Night flight to Juanda International Airport, Surabaya
Day 1 : By the first time we arrived here, it's no surprise that we kids got culture shocked by seeing the different environment & the fact that a lot of people waiting at arriving lobby. So from the airport we booked 2 taxis to head on to our night stay place, Sparkling Backpackers hotel. The time difference here was an hour earlier than Malaysia.

 Plaza Surabaya
Day 2 : We were lucky that our hotel was nearby the plaza so we just walked to get there. There was a lot of vehicles here passing the roads non stop so no chance to cross the road except by jejantas. I guess that's common since Surabaya alone had 300k citizens.

Lumpur Lapindo
We went here on our way to Probolinggo. The mud area was big we were told that the villages are no longer existed & some people died too because of the muds. This is when an old man kept sticking by our side to sell the muds incident cd. Well, my dad bought it just for charity as the old man told us his child died because of the incident.

Place where we rent a jeep
It took us about 4 hours to get to Probolinggo from Surabaya. Ayah planned to get here by bus at first, but then the driver said it's okay he can send us straight away. By the time we arrived here it was already twilight & cold. It was raining subsequently & made weather extra cold.

Our bedroom!
Booked a room through Agoda but the receptionist insisted that we buy another room so this is our room (me,yayan, abang). The room was cozy & i got to sleep obamaself (yay). No hot shower as the only pipe below the shower that have hot warm water.

Dinner
The dining place where we had our dinner after we checked in the hotel. Oh btw we stayed at Cemara Indah Hotel. Look at the interior, it was warm & welcoming. The foods were not bad, french fries were handmade (potatoes were grown here) & this is the only place where you can get decent wifi connection. The restaurant was connected to the reception room.

Outside the restaurant
You can actually see Bromo from opposite site of this restaurant but it was pitch-black dark & windy. Freezing cold i tell you, haha. We went to sleep after feeling the winds up our sleeves and the fact that we had to wake up early at 3am. So, this remark the end of day 2.
